They were first passed in the 1600s to prevent freed black slaves from marrying whites. So as you see it started very long ago that white men started to panic. It's not a recent trend. In the search for a mate, people say they are high-minded and look for beauty within, and that their mates' personalities are the most important factor in determining the outcome of a relationship. Yet it is abundantly clear that people are quite superficial and still to adhere to age-old sex stereotypes : women find muscular, aggressive males attractive, while males idealize the image of non-threatening, demure, petite women. In the publics mind, if not in reality, black men and asian women fit these social roles, and are therefor most fashionable as dates and spouses. That may answer some of the question you have about the actual question. Not the non-sense thats has been talked about on here. Black men with grossly fat white women that attractive white guys reject. Give me a break. And really what does it matter how big or skinny, pretty, ugly someone is love is in the eye of the beholder. So maybe you should find someone to love you so you can stop wondering why a black guy is dating the woman of your dreams. And get over it. I speak as a black educated man in todays society. And every woman I ever dated was beautiful in there own way. I've dated all kinds of women of different race, size, rich, poor, tall, short. A real man doesn't put limits on love thats the problem with alot of people on this board that make limits on where to find love. Every race is capable of love, caring, and beauty. Well just so you all know love has no limits. We don't chose who we love it just happends. As for borderline racism or racial overtones no this whole post is racism at it's best!!!!! He's speaking about generalizations and I think when one talks in generalizations it's a given that they are abstract and not meant to apply to every individual. If we feel ashamed to say what we think, or comment on what we see around us then the conversation becomes censored and weak and meaningless. And what he said about Carribbeans is true -I live in S Florida and the one ethnic group outperforming Cuban-Americans is Jamaican-Americans. I'll try to find a link, but I read that in the Miami Herald last year. Please re-read my post. I did NOT call Alpha a racist. That's a strong accusation. I said that accepting assuming that these many generalizations are a fact is racist when applying them to an entire RACE of people. I feel more comfortable speaking about Black Americans in my home town and region because first of all I am a Black American and second of all I have a lot of experience with that demographic in that region. I would not so strongly generalize other Black Americans in say South Florida because I don't live there and wouldn't know. Generalizations should be treated just like that ...generalizations...not facts. It's why we can make fun of each other in humor. There tends to be a little grain (or rock) of truth in those generalizations and that's what makes them funny in humor. It's different when you are spouting these things as facts. It's different when you define an entire race of people from your narrow experiences. I'm just saying a mature, experienced and open minded outlook would take that into account when making comments. Alpha is speaking from his experience. I get that. Racism has been on this planet since the first child of a different color was born. Racism has and will likely always be here. The difference going forward will be HOW we as human beings take action and manage those mis-beliefs and generalizations. We can't always understand each other but we CAN respect our differences and seek knowledge and understanding. You start that by opening your mind the possibility that someone of a different race can and may be just like you. Starting from that point and treating each individual as a individual is how a society can push racism to the background. And that's just it....it can go to the background. But as soon as you believe that it doesn't exist.....it will. People have been telling me for years that racism doesn't exist. Now there still is racism and probably will always be to some extent, but it certainly has made great progress. I really think people that pull out the race card are many times the ones who are really the racists, we need to let the past go and proceed with a positive future for all races. Cheers! I think that there is some truth to the fact that Black men don't care so much about weight. I am cury yes and don't feel like I am being judged because I know that he will love me for my curves. There is some allure to a man that has dark features, he turns my head not sure why but he just does... Do I look at him and think hmmmmm he has a big uhum.... no I don't But the MM is black that I am seeing, was seeing color does not really matter but I was attracted to everything about him, his movement, his eyes his attitude, his humor, I just had a connection with him that has surpassed all others that I have had in the past, not sure why that is. I read on here that Black men don't like to go down, not sure who started that rumor but it is not true..... that was one of his favorite things to do. I am not sure what he liked about me, well maybe I am... I know that I have some curves....(not out of control mind you... but I do have a beautiful face..... and I do have sex appeal I try to take care of myself and look attractive..... so the answer can not be answered by Why do women like Black Men it is why we like eachother. Honestly when I am with him and I see the difference of our color skin together, I think how sweet that racism is not an issue. I never stated that everything applies to everyone in any particular group. Anyone who is educated already knows there are many exceptions and differences. And I am not racist at all. I actually think that blacks have faced many injustices here in the United States for hundreds of years. Every group is different and every group is the same in many ways.... And yes the thing about Indian men having smaller c*cks is probably true on average because they are physically smaller people, on average. If you are 6 feet tall in India you're considered a giant. She teases me about fried chicken (which she always steals out of my house darn it) and I make fun of her about Mayo sandwiches. That's a shame, it started out to be such a funny thread too. I think almost everyone has experienced racism. Even white folks. I lived in the state of Maine for a while. My car was hit and had to be towed to a repair shop many miles away from where I lived. I communicated with the repair men soley on the phone. When the day came to pick up my car, they wouldn't let me take it at first. Why? Because they were positive they were speaking to a white woman on the phone, and I obviously wasn't white. I tried reasoning with them, because my voice didn't change from the phone to in person. Finally I said I was going to have to chit chat with someone else about the matter, like the police. I didn't know what else to do. They grudgingly accepted my drivers license as proof of who I was in the end. My poor sister came to Maine and got a job at a local department store. My nephew was an infant at the time, so I was babysitting for her and her husband while they were at work. One day payday rolled around. Her co-workers joked with her about how she didn't really need her paycheck. When she asked why, they said " Obviously you have money, you could afford to hire a nanny." This puzzled my sister to no end, because she was working at a just above minimum wage job. Finally the lightbulb went off and she said "Oh you must mean my sister." Her co-workers laughed and laughed until they figured out she was serious. She became a pariah at her job. People started avoiding her. She had never experienced racism herself. When we left there, she said she could kind of understand how I felt. Good part of the story is, it lightened up the boredom of living in Maine, and she still refers to me as "the nanny" for kicks and giggles. She grew up on an indian reservation. From her point of view, anything we (and by we I mean anyone who is going through anything period) is pretty minor.
