Guest
I have been involved with someone in a long distance R for over a year now. (I have read the posts in the LDR forum but they don't seem quite right for this question...) Our R is somewhat unorthodox in that we are not in a commited R, though I know he has not been seeing anyone else in that time. We live 1300 miles apart and only see each other a couple of times a year. We have known each other for almost 5 years and our friendship developed into this after we both ended LTRs with others. With all the threads on this forum regarding porn, I thought maybe I could get some feedback here. To clarify, I have no issues with him looking at porn. It doesn't bother me, it doesn't demean me. However, it seems that he doesn't want to look at porn he wants to look at me. He wants me to send pictures, to make movies of me. When we talk on line we use webcams so its not like he never sees me. I have sent some things to him, and he has sent to me as well (that was a CYA act on my part - I have heard horror stories about sending pics and them getting out, though I am not worried about that with him, doesn't hurt to have some protection). What I don't quite get is why he wants more? (Oops - weird stuff to be writing about on Christmas Eve!! Sorry!)

whichwayisup
Don't do anything that you're not comfortable with. No matter what.

Guest
Have you met this person or is this an online LDR? I met him several times before we ever started talking online. In the past 5 years he comes to my town anywhere from 2 - 6 times a year. These stays range in duration, but usually only a few days and almost totally consumed by business. Guest
How does getting pictures of him protect you from his posting sexual pictures of you after a break up? I guess the first thing is I don't believe he would ever do that...BUT...if the thought ever crossed his mind, the fact that I have the same would be sufficient to stop him. I don't know that I could explain fully without giving TMI. The other part is that we will likely not have a bad break up. We seem to be off and on periodically as it is difficult to maintain this kind of relationship and there are a few issues that we have some difficulty dealing with. He has looked (and continues to look) for a new job to leave where he is right now. Where I live is one option for him, but he is also looking elsewhere. If he moved here, our relationship would clearly change, if he moved elsewhere, I think the same could be said and likely it would end.
