Thanks...I know I shouldn't care. After all, I AM the one who tried to make him invisible. But, it felt good to not have him as my enemy while I was going through this crud.

Now, apparently, he prefers it the way it was. Which, I understand. I know that's for the best. But damn, just tell me. I at least always told him what was on my mind before I shut down.

One more thing and then I'll shut up. ;)

It could just be simply that he was worried about what it would do to me emotionally if we talked too much.

And that's fine too, but just tell me that's what you're doing so I don't sit here and dwell on it.

Hey Puddle,

BTDT is soooo right, you are a sweetie! This will be a good year to come and I think many MM will be having bad hair days....

Need to blow off some steam concerning ex-MM....who in the h*ll does MM think he is, I have never seen so much arrogance wrapped up in one individual...he knew I hated the situation, but didn't care because it's all about HIM....

Well ya know, I see where your coming from...one minute he's talking and the next he's not....he could talk before, what is the deal? Was it convenient for him the other day?

well I would be asking myself this:

Is he a game player??? Is he in it for the thrill and chase of it all?

If he is, then its possible he laid the bait, you have bitten it, your on his hook again and he now knows your hooked. He can lay back a bit now and let you squirm and wriggle on that hook before he decides to reel you back into his world. He can now let you make all the moves on him and he can turn it back to you and say you chased me.

If you dont think he is a player then there is probably is a genuine reason, with your recent loss your probably feeling hyper sensitive to any slight change at the moment.

As for one last time and the just being friends route, I can see where you are coming from with that, I've just done that, ended up practically back where I was despite all my previous words, (sorry to all you out there who gave me good advice, that why i've kept my head down, to ashamed to admit it that I caved, soorrrry, POM, GEL, Movinon05, Freedomnow, BH and anyone else), so really dont think thats a good idea, but who am I to judge anyone else, you need to do whats best for you.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Don't you be ashamed NearlyThere. If I had a dollar for everytime I backslid, I would be a very rich woman.

There is no judgement here. We have been where you are.

You are amongst friends here.

Don't forget that. :)

NT: You don't need to feel ashamed...these are difficult situations and what makes it so hard is when you love the person...you do what you feel you should do, we're all here for you...

Love you guys!!

Spent today going through my boss' office....cataloging everything, going through his hand-written notes. Got his final Amex statement this morning - see, he had gone to a dinner with our biggest (huge, world-known) client the night he died. The dinner was on there. Ugh. I saw that right away and wanted to just puke.

Our GM asked me if I would be okay with boxing everything up, she didn't want to deprive me of it, if that's what I wanted to do. I said I could do it but that I wanted help. Well, I let the woman they sent from HR to "help" pretty much do all of it. But I made sure to bubble wrap and box up the personal stuff going to his wife. She was cool though, I think she understood why I kept just walking away....

That's the quote they put on his eulogy cards...he loved James Taylor. And Bob Dylan. And as his friend said at the service - He liked Carol King too, except when she sang Dylan.

I'm smiling thinking of this - he had a message holder on his desk. Well, frankly, it was a roach clip. I used to give him sh*t about it, and he would give it right back "how do you even know what that is, girl?"

I'm keeping it....that, and a bowl full of marbles that I found in his desk drawer one time. I mean, a whole LOT of marbles. So, I took them, put them in a clear glass bowl and labeled them "Ed's marbles." Put them on my desk and when anyone would ask I'd say yeah, Ed lost his marbles. But I found them for him.

I'm keeping those too...

LMAO - and oh yeah, the girl they sent from HR to "help" me? She came across a cd someone had made for him, and for the cover they had superimposed Ed's face onto Bob Dylan's, from an old album cover.

She goes, "I think this is personal." and kind of waved it at me. I said, well, what does it say? She said "Bob DIE-lan....."

That would have cracked him UP!!

Unless you're 5, how could you NOT know who Bob Dylan is, let alone how to pronounce his name???

I just laughed to myself and thought about how much harder I would have laughed with him over it.

That is really funny, BTDT. How old was she, like twelve? I am a Bob Dylan fan myself, and he is way before my time.

Your boss was right--no one should sing Dylan and everyone sucks when singing Dylan because NO ONE SUCKS as badly as Dylan singing Dylan...

err, well, ****. It's just the truth.

As for roach clips, hmmm, I've no idea about what you are speaking...

I think she's around my age - 37!! I mean, really.

You just don't realize the bubble some people live in, I guess.

DIE-lan???

Wow.

I guess, though, age doesn't have anything to do with it. I guess it's just what you choose to be exposed to. And I say "choose to" only because I sought all kinds of different music out on my own, not just what my parents listened to.

Hey BTDT....

Wow I bet that was hard.....I understand how you might feel, a couple of years ago lost my boss of over 10 yrs...prior to that, and am talking days we had lost 2 very close co-workers....I came into work and one of the guys said "boss" died last night....I freaked .....

We all got called back to work after lay off, my boss got hired back as hourly....two weeks before he died I was working with him and he started telling me about all his really personal stuff, I didn't know what to say...he was also talking about going back to church...he knew it I think.

He was always a partier, and took a lot of vicodin....the project he was working on, I took it home and made a plaque out of it....I was looking for something in the desk he used and found a script of oxycotin in his name....all of this was so hard.....He always caught me when I was screwing off and would yell saying "get back in the ship"....one day I was mimicking him out loud and looked up and there was the big boss listening and laughing at me.

He always had my back, one time my daughters boyfriend was messing with her and I was very upset about it and he offered to go kick his as*....he would have done it too.

I am so glad you are ok...thanks for letting me vent...will pm...((((((((hugs)))))))) we love you too!
