BiancaRura
What would you do (the steps) to not get hurt in a relationship? I have recently begun dating this guy and I know I don't want to get hurt again (my ex fiancee cheated on me). I have kinda tried not to open my heart up enough to really let him get in, but it seems like it isn't working, I have begun to have some feelings for this guy. I know by not letting him in, it wouldn't let our relationship progress. Any advice will be appreciated.
BeReal
I don't think you can avoid getting hurt. It's going to happen sometimes. Just take it slow and remember that you will survive no matter what.
Ally Boo
JaRule says it best "Pain is Love" And it's true. If you didn't hurt, you wouldn't care. And you can't have a real relationship without caring. So you basically gotta get it in your head that it's worth it to take the risk of getting hurt again, then to live a life alone and half heartedly.
Stacy69
Well I think that you should at least try to let him in because he could be completely different from your ex and you should at least give him a chance dont let him pay for what ur ex did.. I know it hurts and its hard to get over but you at least give this guy a chance..
perfect?
i honestly cannot get into anything without letting everything come to the surface and it's does cause problems sometimes (view my post), but, i certainly cannot kick myself around too badly for doing this. i guess the difficult path has greater rewards. do be careful, but, dont be unnatural. sometimes, it's so easy to get conflicted if you are not the type who like's to slow things down (or speed things up, for matter). my counselor says, you cant expect people to work at your speed and i guess that would mean the same in reverse, so, if it's right, you'll find a medium. just press go. life's too short.(or so i've been told). velvet
Girl loses boy, boy loses girl. Case closed! It happens all the time. You have to pick your r/s more wisely. Don't become attached to someone unless you want to take things to the "next level". The "next level" frightens many people. Something I have seen a glimpse of in myself, briefly after a separation. Than the heart heals and balances out back to its original nature. Its in everyones nature to love. Fear is a handicap that everyone has but has to work on to bend out. Some people have a fear of heights, public speaking, driving, swimming and even love. You have to conquer those fears. You have to give yourself time to be ready to love again. After any unpleasant experiences in life we usually need time.
