I've been with my bf for a year, living together for the past 7 months and he's always talking about getting engaged, marriage, family. We are in both in our 30s. I love him and I do want to marry him, I just want to know what are the signs. He's been torturing me so much in the past 2 months, it's driving me crazy. Everyone seems to think it's going to happen soon. I just want to know if there are any signs you can look for. Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Posted January 5, 2007 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Sounds like he definitely is going to propose soon. :-D He's discussing marriage etc with you now to see how you would react and if it is something you would want before he bothers asking you. My dad said he didn't want to ask my mom to marry him unless he knew she would say yes so they discussed that before he actually proposed, so my mom knew it was coming, just not when and how. My fiance did the same thing with me too, although not for the reason of making sure I would say yes. The moment he realised I was the one for him, he declared that I was "the one" and that he wanted to marry me but didn't actually propose until a few months later after we had dated for awhile longer and for it to be just the right moment.
