paris38
Ok, I broke NC today...I just emailed a fitness question to my ex of 5 months, I have taken up running again and he is a runner (well not recently since his rotator cuff surgery.) Well, he replied with a LONG email about fitness and his suggestions....then a 'how is your sister, how is your year going?' and just how he is walking an hour a day since he can't run yet. Since he took the effort to write such a long reply, does that mean he could still care? Because why would he bother to spend the effort? Just wondering. I'm going back on NC today. What is done is done. But next time you have a query don't involve your ex again(you are of course broken up). Theres the Internet, other professional fitness trainers, the library etc that will have a whole variety of information to your disposal. It seems that he was just following through with the question that you emailed him, and was basically being polite. So there is nothing more to read from this.
magichands
I'm going back on NC today. You can't quit smoking one day, sneak a crafty cigarette, and then... Or maybe you can.
Author paris38
I agree with you, Lorr, just didn't know why he would take the time to write an extra long email. Also, he knows I know people who are fitness buffs, I could have asked them so he could have said that? Thanks. Yeah, it was kind of crafty, Magichands, he probably saw right through it as an excuse to contact him. On the other hand if he wanted NOTHING to do with me he wouldn't have bothered to answer at all, right? Much less with an extra long response? BUT NC starting TODAY. No excuses, not even his birthday coming up.
magichands
On the other hand if he wanted NOTHING to do with me he wouldn't have bothered to answer at all, right? Games, games, games. Who will be the first one to crack? Be careful what you wish for - even secretly - for you just might get it.
littlekitty
Paris, I've sort of done the same thing in the past myself. And I found before that a fitness expert often loves to share their knowledge - perhaps 'boast' would sometimes be a better turn of phrase! I think perhaps he was just happy to share his 'great knowledge' and give you a long answer. That and politeness....! If he wanted you back, he'd be trying to get you back wouldn't he?! So do what you've said. Stick to NC and move on with your life. Believe me, you will move past this.
