Guest
Recently, me and my mom haven't been getting on. Last year, I didn't do too well in my exams and she's now really obsessively trying to control the amount of time I go out with my friends and the time I spend on the internet. I really don't want her to do that because I just feel like I have no freedom. After all, I'm 18 in a few months and I don't like her setting all these boundaries and restrictions. What can I do? norajane
Get your grades up so your mom doesn't feel the need to monitor your time. I'm sure she would rather not be doing that; no one wants to be a prison warden. She'd rather that you did it on your own, but you've shown her that you can't. Show her that she can back off by taking responsibility for your studies.
