dropdeadlegs
What's zabbasearch? One of the many public background search sites on the web. If you want to find someone and are willing to shell out a little cash, you can actually find a lot of info on a person. I have a friend who uses these sites routinely to check backgrounds of potential partners because she was so badly screwed when she followed her heart and married a man she met on a cruise. She gets lots of info on these guys. It's a bit scary to know just how much. Criminal records, credit ratings, etc.

dropdeadlegs
Open a browser Type in www dot zabbasearch dot com Type in your name and state Scary huh? Yep, my address and phone number were the first in the listings. (I assume thats' because I am listed in the phone book.) But for what I consider chump change, you can do the full background check. Author CaliGuy
How would one go about getting off the public databases?
whichwayisup
are willing to shell out a little cash, you can actually find a lot of info on a person. I would hope that Zabba has something set up that if someone paid to search information on someone else, that the person would be notified that someone was digging in their background. Green
Well stay out of the phone book would be the easiest way but if ur still at the same location and same number as when u were in the phone book that wont help
dropdeadlegs
Cali, I'm not sure how to get off the databases. I suspect leaving the country, or possibly the planet may be the only way. At the very least being unlisted in the phone book. WWIU, you bring up a good point. I would hope that someone would be notified, too. I honestly don't know if they are, but I suspect not. My friend never mentioned anyone calling her on checking their background. It's like a cheap PI, only cheaper, giving pertinent information that is easily available through public records of all kinds. there is effectively no privacy for us anymore. Big Brother is watching....and it gets scarier all the time.
whichwayisup
Oh I live in Canda Me too. But I don't think we have zabba here. I'm sure whitepages or something has something similar, if you're listed. Just like a paper telephone book that gets handed out once a year.

Yeah that's pretty much what zabba looks like... except with white pages we can't pay for a background check.. but then again I mean if it's somebody you're not even talking to then it's not worth the money.. Go_Chicago
Hey there... For those that live in Canada, you don't have to worry about Zabba search. I have a close friend in Law who avidly studied the constitution act of 1867 and 1982, along with the Chater of Rights and Freedoms. Under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms (1982) you have to consent to having a background or criminal check - otherwise it is illegal. Hence, employment contracts will indicate that you have to check a box allowing such as service to be performed. This goes for disclosing biological sex, religious preference, and ethnic status - all optional. Any internet site that would attempt to function like Zabba would be slapped with a Canadian Supreme Court Law-suit. The information you can get is the standard phone book info only. I.E. Canada411, or try a local municipality that holds tax records (but I believe those are covered under the Privacy Act as well). Chica

Author CaliGuy
Well I have stopped responding to her. Basically I just thanked her for her kind words and I am letting it "disappear." I don't know why she feels the way she does. I don't even feel that way about my first love. I forgot about her a long time ago and have no desire to rekindle any kind of friendship with her. I guess it is true what they say. "To the world you may be one person but to one person out there, you are the world."

Thanks. Glad to know that someone else actually searches out sources for critical thought. You ROCK Not-so-funny to know that even the Canadian tax system f-d'up! It's not a perfect world due to human error, but at least Canada is trying to keep some amount of privacy for it's citizenry. Woo-hoo. Chica

Guest
Am I the only one who experienced this? My friend started touching eachother and having "swordfights" when we were both ten. By 11, we were watching his dad's old porno flix and trying what we saw on eachother...poorly. But between 12 and 14, we were 'overnighting' at eachother's house 2 to 3 times a week, and having oral and anal sex regularaly(we discovered lube). It is really difficult to admit this, but to this day it was some of the best sex of my life. Inside, I feel really positive about it, even though I have never had sex with a male after that. We very frequently gave eachother oral, and it seems odd how many times I've swallowed cum even though I consider myself hetero. Has anyone else had their first sexual expereince/relationship with the same sex. It is something you remeber as positive? Fun? IT IS PRETTY COMMON FOR SAME SEX STUFF TO HAPPEN FIRST. IT DID WITH ME. I WAS AROUND 5 OR 6 AND SOME BULLY PUSHED ME TO THE GROUND AND TRIED TO STICK A STICK UP MY ASS. NOT SURE WHY GUYS ARE SO FIXATED IN STICKING THINGS IN PLACES THAT DON'T BELONG THERE? ANYHOO, THAT EXPERIENCE SORT OF CONFUSED ME ONLY IN THE WAY THAT I NEVER HAD ANAL SEX UNTIL RECENTLY AND I FELT WEIRD TALKING ABOUT IT WITH HER - I SORT OF WANTED TO TRY IT BUT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT MADE ME REALLY NERVOUS - NOTHING ELSE HAS DONE THAT. PLUS, I WOULD NEVER WANT TO DO SOMETHING THAT HURTS. I THINK THE 'ANTICIPATION' PART WAS GREAT.
