Can she fall back in love?

Recommended Posts

My wife and I are getting a divorce. We plan to live next door to each other for the kids sake. Is this wrong?

She claims that she can't see the future but there could be hope down the road. How often do people re-marry their Ex wifes. If you know how to improve the problems, how often does it work out? When people see us together, they still can't believe that we are getting a divorce. What to do?:(

Without knowing your circumstances for your divorce, it is hard to evaluate.

I would have hard reservations about being next door. That was one of the problems I had with my ex-fiance. When she divorced, her ex husband bought a house in the same subdivision, not next door or even in sight, but convenient for the daughter. The intentions are good. But, we lived 30 miles apart, we began looking for places in the middle to live. It quickly came apparent that her daughter would not move to a new area, she would chose to stay in her old neighborhood with Dad. I was not going to put my fiance in that position of chosing.

The point is I think it could cause some serious complications down the road when either of you are trying to move on with your lives.

I AM MOVING INTO MY NEW HOME AND MY EXWIFE LIVES 5 MINUTES AWAY - GREAT FOR THE KIDS - NOT SO GREAT FOR US. MY EX AND I KEEP THINGS JUST ABOUT THE KIDS AND IF THE HOUSE WASN'T SUCH A GREAT DEAL AND NICE HOME I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. MY EXWIFE HAS A BF AND THE ONLY THING THAT IS A PRIORITY BETWEEN US IS ENSURING OUR DAUGHTER GROWS UP IN A SAFE, HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT.

WOULD I WANT TO GET BACK WITH THE EXWIFE? NOPE. SAME FOR HER.

One of my post-divorce fantasies (We all have them) was to:

Win the lottery

Build a HUGH HOUSE accross the road from the XW's house

Put an Olympic size swimming pool in the front yard, and hire a bunch of college co-ed's to sit around and sunbath around the pool while they did their homework, and each time the XW drove out of her drive, holler:

"HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW!

Do you really want to live next door to your ex... I don't think that is a good idea... staying in the same city I can understand but live far enough away that you aren't in each others business all the time, that will just make moving on that much harder.

How often do people re-marry their Ex wifes

I have only seen that once... my ex's parents got divorced about 2.5 years ago, got back together 9 months later, remarried 6 months after that... and last I heard they aren't doing so well again. I don't know what the circumstances are for your divorce but that what happened will have a lot to do with if you get back together later.

Good luck!

He began coming home later and later, oftentimes drunk.

He'd 'forget' that I had a special dinner planned or that we'd made plans to do something together.

The loving words disappeared and the harsh sarcasm started.

He started acting paranoid, accusing me of cheating on him (I never did) and accusing me of taking money (I never did)

I finally left.

He went on an incredible campaign to win me back. Money...flowers...candy...poetry...begging..phone calls....letters...cards...little notes tucked into my car's windshield wipers...you name it.

Fool that I was, I went back.

I TOLD U A WHILE BACK THAT THE TATOO ON MY SHOUDER IS THE WORD PROMISE

U KNOW THINKING THOSE THINGS DOESN'T MAKE ME PROUD AND IS REALLY A FURTHER SLAP BUT I HAVE EXPLAINED HOW NC IMPACTED ME. I ORGINALLY FELT THOSE THINGS BECAUSE THAT'S THE WAY I'VE ALWAYS PROJECTED AND SHIFTED BLAME - I DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE THANKS TO U AND I AM AMAAZINED AT HOW MUCH BETTER MY ENTIRE LIFE IS NOW BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED AND YOUR SUPPORT

I CAN'T MAKE U BELIEVE OR TRUST ME UNTIL WE SPEND TIME TOGETHE AND U SEE

I HOPE U WILL TRUST ME AGAIN

NITE NITE

U KNOW U ARE ALLOWED OVER HERE ANYTIME - ALREADY TOLD M AND D U MIGHT

I HAVE THE BASEMENT

ONE DAY? NO WAY! WE'VE WORKED HARD FOR OVER 1 1/2 YEARS AND ITS A LIFETIME COMMITMENT

Is it possible that I have realized all of the flaws I have had over the past year in one day? I am not only realizing these flaws in hopes of saving my marriage, but in hopes of saving myself. The things that have impacted my marriage have also impacted myself. Since I have told my wife and myself that I would go back to the person that I was a year ago, I have felt like a whole new person. I look at everything different now. It reminds me of that song "Live like you were dying." No, I am not litterally dying, but I was emotionally dying. I just feel so alive right now, so happy... all while going through the hardest time of my life. The hope and faith I have.. I could have never imagined it was there. It's like I took off this Halloween Costume that I have been wearing for the past year.

Does this make sense? I know people can either go into depression or they can make a stand and make a change today, not tomorrow. I also know things don't change overnight but this change sure feels great.
