Just wondering what people eat for there snacks between meals?

 

So far I eat apples, bannana's, oranges, special K bars & other types of bars once in a while, but I was just wanting to get some other ideas.

 

At night I like eating carrots, or I'll just drink some 100% juice, even popcorn once in a while if I'm really hungry.

I have what you have sometimes, but I also like cheese and crackers. Yogurt with granola, or peanut butter crackers.

I have a theory that what makes a snack healthy is the nutrient per calorie ratio so my choices are kind of oriented that way.

 

I'm a big fan of dried fruits, especially dried mango and dried cherries. I also have a bowl of cereal as a snack every once in awhile. And yogurt. And I always keep some fancy dark chocolate around - the kind where one or two squares suffice to satisfy a chocolate craving.

 

I find salty snacks trickier. I love tamari almonds. And I sometimes have hummus and bread. I love love love anything that involves guacamole.

well when Im having a healthy snack apples and banana's are at the top of my list. I also eat grapes & raising, baked aples(thats where i take the core out of the apple and poor some orange juice inside and micro wave it till soft) Strawberries, blueberries, oatmeal, salad with a light vinigrette dressing, Soy nuts, peanuts, yogurt, sweet potatoe, egg whites, clemintines

Sunflower seeds, dried cherries, Balance bars, grapes and cheese and sometimes olives and cherry tomatoes, yogurt mixed with cereal or granola, black licorice, and all kinds of seasonal fruit.

Here are some ideas for healthy snacks:

 

yogurt & fruit

 

peanut butter & fruit (bananas or apples)

 

trail mix with cereal & nuts

 

toast with a small amt of cheese

 

smoothie made with soy milk, fruit, yogurt

Fruit, and lots of it! Apples, oranges, pineapples, pears, peaches, grapes, watermelon, honeydew, and canteloupe.

 

I also eat vanilla yogurt, a big bowl of honey bunches of oats, and sometimes I will eat a toasted bagel with fat-free cream cheese.

I have never liked Yogurt, but the girl that works next door to my work told me she doesn't like it either but she will eat the Harvest Peach one so I bought one today when I was at the store and I think I can get used to that one. I also bought a Raspberry one and if I don't like that one I have fresh raspberries to add to it.

 

Thanks for the ideas, looks like I'm doing O.K. on what I'm eating so far.

They are my favorite and there only 90 Calories;) I know I'm not eating as good as I can, but I figure any little bit helps and not eating fast food has been the big one for me. :D
