I've been diggin' this chick for months now and I've finally gotten to know her

And I think she's interested in me. I'm really bad at detecting these things, but unless she's "playing" me, I think she may truly be into me.

 

These are some examples of why I believe this:

 

1) I told her I was thinking about transferring colleges - she said if I left, she would cry. We're friends, but we're not best friends.

 

2) I went running late one night and while I was gone she used my friend's phone to call me and leave me a message just saying hey...granted, she was a little tipsy at the time.

 

3) Whenever I'm in the room with her and other people, even when I'm not saying anything it feels like I can see her looking at me out of the corner of my eye often.

 

4) After getting her AIM sn from my roomate (we all live in the same dorm), I IMed her...the next day she IMed me without a reason (she started the conversation off by saying how my AIM buddy icon was weird looking).

 

5) I know AIM's not a good place to judge, but when I asked her about certain aspects of her life she gave me some pretty lengthy responses and asked me about 'em afterwards.

 

She did break up with her boyfriend a little over a month ago, so I'm still not quite sure what to make of all this. I've had a pretty big crush on her ever since I met her, so I'm really hoping this works out.

Well, was this relationship she just got out of long term? If it was, it might be best to give her some space. Otherwise you will be her rebound. If it wasn't a super long relationship, then why not just ask her to hang out with you. Get her one on one with you and see if you get any vibes from her if shes interested in anything more. If you do get these vibes, then go for it and let her know how you feel.

 

You never know until you try. And trust me, you will be kicking yourself if someone else comes along before you get the chance to find out if there could be something between you two.
