It wasn't a personal attack, so I think you're personalizing his comments. It's a public forum, things are said, discussions can get heated, and sometimes one has to have a tough skin. That kind of drivel might be tolerated on Craigslist or other sites where vapid people regularly resort to insulting other people in order to make themselves feel better, but I would hope that kind of behavior isn't tolerated here.
