Babybird
OKay now I am not a stupid person. I have been told by a few people that I am very intelligent. Today is an exception. So a couple of days ago my washer stopped working. Checked the circuit breakers and fuses and everything was fine. Told my MM about it. Said he would come over tonight and take a look. Then he asked me to empty all of the water that was sitting in it and see what happened. If it didn't work he would go from there. So I'm down in the basement dumping out buckets of water. Tried to turn on the washer again. Nothing. After trying every cycle I emptied out more water and tried them all again. Nothing. I got pissed and slammed the lid down. Uh huh. The washer doesn't work if the lid is up. Just fills up with water and sits. OMG am I a dumb***. LOL I was told that was another one of my Lucy moments! LOL At least my washer isn't broken!!! Can anyone top that for a blonde moment??
hardknocks
well not me personally .. but I used to do computer tech. support. And this one woman called me and told me her computer just stopped working and her screen went totally blank. She was freaking out because she thought she lost all her work. Anyway - I went over and pushed her mouse and the screen popped back on - it had gone idle and her monitor just went into sleep mode. ;-)
NearlyThere
The other day, I found out I had put the remote control for the heater in my mobile phone pouch. I once spent half an hour trying to phone someone, it was constantly engaged, I got really frustrated, then realised I was phoning myself. I once was trying to fit a bottom sheet on a bed, it just wouldnt fit, I threw a hissy fit, then found out it was a tablecloth. One of my best ones, went to fill up with petrol/gas, the nozzle would not fit, went into the station itself to talk and found out I was trying to fill up with diesel instead. They are some that just spring to mind.
stillhere
I never leave the house without my cell, it's my lifeline!!! As i was heading out the door to go to work, i couldn't find my cell. I frantically searched the house to no avail. So i used my home phone to call it. It was in my hand!!!
Storyrider
I like this thread! I once locked my keys in the car with the car running. In my defense, it was in a pounding Houston rainstorm and the car was a tiny Hyundai, so I couldn't hear the engine. I left it that way, at my work parking lot, until lunch time! And luckily it had a full tank of gas and the rain kept it from overheating. That incident kept the guys at work laughing for days.
Author Babybird
Okay I'm not feeling so bad!!! Its like one of those embarassing things that happens and you really hope no one sees. Happened at work the other day when I went to walk through one of the doors, forgot to turn the handle, and smacked my face right into the door. Thank god no one saw!! Touche
Does anyone else ever do this? Power goes out yet I will still walk into a room and flip the light switch on. And I'll do this more than one time..I mean each time I walk into a room, I'll do it. I've even done it while holding a flashlight in my other hand...
Author Babybird
Oh or you try to turn on about 5 different things before you realise the circuit tripped...then when you fix it everything goes bizirk and scares the crap out of you...uh huh. Done it a bunch of times.
magichands
I hate it when I'm going out in a power outage (I think they call it that because it's so boring). Is that light switch on, or off, or on... f*ck!!
