The poem has a line that says you could've walked away and said no, then says if you could do that day over what would you say. As much as I wish I could take my own advice and quit using it, the answer would still be yes. As much as I would never want anyone to go through what I have, and as much of my life as meth has screwed up, I still wouldn't want it any other way. Its difficult to explain. But if I were to go back in time somehow and say no, sure I'd be a lot better off, but I'd be so naive, and I'd have never met some of the people that I've been fortunate enough to share ideas with. I know some people who tried it once and haven't stopped since. But I also know more people for whom it took several tries in order to get hooked. I think that the biggest danger is in you simply liking the stuff. If you try it and you like it, then chances are that you're going to go back for more rather soon. I think that getting hooked on the first try has more to do with this than with your bodily chemicals getting addicted to it right there and then, though. But meth really is nasty stuff. It's like crack in that sense: it's just a bunch of brewed up stuff compacted into "one" thing--you never know wtf you're really getting when you start using meth and crack. Talk about dangerous. I really think most of the crack was crap....there were very few times when it was base that I liked....now I did smoke for a good year but, again, the experiences I had, as well as the dope itself, just didn't do it for me.....that's what I'm trying to explain for myself...I guess I just plain did it, but I don't "like" it so I don't have those great "cravings" to feel a "need" to do it.... plus I'm a control freak...lol...therefore, I was always the one saying "NO" when everyone I was partying with wanted more....I tried to keep my boundries which is very hard in the game.
