I just happen to think that most people are far more expendable than an animal. Why? Because I think there is purity in an animal, which is something that will never be found in a human. And there is just nothing more beautiful than a life lead with purity.

 

I'm just being honest.

Somebody asked me the other day if I would eat a steak for a million dollars. I said no, and they kept on about how they didn't believe me, so I finally said I might if it was a human steak.

 

But for real, I don't think I would kill or eat any animal (or human) for any amount of money. I least I hope I wouldn't. I'll never know for sure until the opportunity arises, but from what I know of myself, I wouldn't. Not for money anyway. If it was for something like saving the life of someone I love, then it would be a really hard decision, and I can't say what I think I would do.

I wouldn't hurt most people. Not really. But if it were between a demented person and an innocent animal, then the answer for me would be obvious.

I would drop a nuclear bomb on France if it meant saving my own mother's life. Of course, that would land me in quite a bit of bother. And I'd probably be killing a lot of stuff, other than descendants of monkeys. Whilst this is a completely realistic situation - and it has almost happened to me a couple of times before - I don't lie awake at night worrying about it.

 

If it's me or my pet, I would rather I got the chop. I mean, I'm nothing special. Nor is anybody else on this planet.

I didn't say I'd save an animal over a loved one or even that I'd even have to think about it. I would of course choose to save someone I love over saving an animal. That wasn't the hypothetical though.

 

The hypthetical was whether I would personally kill an animal. I don't think I'd have it in m to kill anyone or anything. I don't think I could live with myself if I did. I also don't think it's my right to choose to kill another, whether they're animal or human. If you think that's screwed up, then so be it. You're free to think what you want.

I said that about her in jest, but in jest there is a ring of truth. I'm not going to go into specifics, because I don't want to bad mouth my mom on the internet. She just wasn't and isn't a good mother. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about her though. She is still my mother, and I accept her as a human with faults.

 

I was going to post a story about why it would be so hard for me to kill an animal, but after I typed it up, I realized I don't want to share that painful of an experience on the internet for it to be mocked or thrown in my face.

 

Maybe I do have issues. In fact, that thing I was going to post about is probably the one thing I might never get over. But that doesn't mean you don't have any issues. Yours are showing clear as day right now. You just won't admit to them.
