VinaAmez
Anyone else always tired? I know that I posted about the whole sleeping thing (which we are working on) but I can't remember the last time I woke up and was not tired. I was at work yesterday and I didn't have the E to do anything. I'd sit down and literally almost fall asleep. This has been happening a lot lately. I don't get it. I get up around 9am usually and I'm tired, work all day, tired. Come home crash on the couch for a minute, tired. I can't go to bed to early because I'll wake up in the middle of the night and unable to fall asleep again. I don't know if maybe I'm not getting enough sleep or what but it did help when I slammed down a large Cap. today. I felt good until it kicked in and I couldn't sit still and now I'm tired again. I have stopped taking vitamins and I haven't been exercising as much, but even then I think I was tired. I can't even remember. I don't know. I've been out of school for about year so maybe it's all catching up to me now. Been on the go so much that now it's slowing down so maybe so am I. Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be or have experienced anything like this?

longlegzs80
I am in the same boat. What kind of work do you do? Is it physical, are you infront of a computer all day? My job is very physical, plus I have 2 other jobs, one is about to be short lived though. But, I find I am always tired. Never enough sleep, and when I do sleep it is all night long. My days are long and I could literially sleep sitting up if I do sit. I take vitamins, I started going to the gym and still TIRED. What to do, I really don't know what to say. Sorry I am not any help but I don't know what the problem is. Maybe it could be your iron level is low, if iron has anythign to do with being tired I don't know.

riobikini
Ask your doctor about B12 if you find you're "all clear" (from anything serious) after a complete physical. You might try documenting your sleep and activity schedule -add comments on daily emotional status (for instance, whether or not you've been dealing with more emotionally stressful events/relationships, etc.) Dealing with certain problems can drain you emotionally, and leave you feeling tired, worn out, and contributes to feeling depressed. If you're dealing with any such overwhelming problems, tell this to your doctor -it just *may* be the key to pinning down the problem, and what direction to take to treat the perpetual "tiredness". Mention your diet, too -the food you eat, *when* you eat it, and whether you're on the move or relaxing while eating, because, in the long-run, it *does* have an effect on your overall ability to produce levels of energy. And about the B12: remember that the pill form works in a very different way than the injectable. As a matter of fact, you *cannot* get the same results from one that you can expect from the other. Talk to your doc -there's a *reason* for your feeling tired- and a solution waiting. It beats staying up watching late night TV. -Rio
whichwayisup
Yes yes yes! B12 or irons levels should be checked, especially this time of year as the February Blah's kick in. I still am having B12 shots once a month and they've helped ALOT with the low energy and feeling tired all the time. Get back on your vitamins, even if you get the shots. Multivitamins, and vitamin C, and E too!
whichwayisup
Start doing yoga daily. (I am about to get back into doing yoga) I've been feeling quite crappy for about a week or so now, then I realized earlier today that it's the FEBRUARY BLAH's...Even though winter hasn't been that bad, this time of year I absolutely HATE. I know last year the yoga did help give me even more energy, relaxed not only my body, but my mind too. An inner peace... Another thing is, drink more water during the day, eat snacks alot. Cheeses, fruits to keep your blood sugar levels up too. Experiencing low blood levels and combo that with low B12 is a scary and awful feeling!! Trust me on that, I KNOW!! tragicglands
Yes yes yes! But only in moderation. Otherwise it will make you tired.

Author VinaAmez
Hmm...I was wondering if it was the vitamins. Been so busy that I just quit taking them. I do have the B-12's so well see what happends when I start taken them again. Not sure I would do the shots though. I would be awake for a while.
blind_otter
I'm tired all the time, but I'm depressed due to my Dad's death last October. I take B complex and found that an iron supplement helps as well. It's hard to find the energy to do it, but yoga does help as well.
whichwayisup
Not sure I would do the shots though. I would be awake for a while. Nah, the shots just help your levels get back to normal. Sometimes just taking the pills won't get you to the healthy levels it needs to be at. A simple blood test will show if you need it. The other thing is, if it's very low, you could have other health issues and symptoms - Could lead to you being anemic, which can be quite serious, so talk to your Dr.

I'll wait before I talk to the doctor. Everytime I go in there for something I come out with something worse. I NEVER have good luck with doctors so if I don't have to go I don't and won't. Probably just need to get up and moving MORE then I have been.

Anyone have any ideas as to what this could be or have experienced anything like this? OK, Listen up! I'm not sure if you have this condition that I personally know of, but, do you go to bed, at a decent time, not to late, or too early, sleep between 8 - 12 hours and STILL feel tired? If so I would recommend that you go to your doctor ASAP! I have a sleep disorder known as Sleep Apnea, and yes it can kill you. I'm NOT trying to scare anyone here, but, I'm trying to let you know what's going on. A person with Sleep Apnea if left untreated can aquire Diabetes, aquire high blood pressure, they can have a Heart Attack, or have a Stroke. Sleep Apnea puts a lot of stress on the body, in which case can, or does cause other ailments to develope. It can be brought on by being overwieght, but, that's not always the case. There are atheletes who have it, small children, skinny as can be women. Basically, anyone can or could get it, it could be genetics, but, they don't know everything yet on this disorder. What they do is, monitor your sleep by electrodes attached to your skin, they can monitor if you snore, which is a possible sign you may have it, whether you breath through your nose, or mouth while asleep, if you talk in your sleep, if you move alot, if you wake up. A person who has this will wake up several times throughout the night and not even remember it. They WILL ask you alot of quetions which may not seem important to you, but, are nessecary to get an overall view of what you're going through. I hope you have Medical Insurence, while a lot of them cover the Sleep test, some may not. But, it's well worth the cost to get a good nights sleep. If it is found out that you do have Sleep Apnea, then they will give you another sleep test, with a machine known as a C-PAP, there are NO drugs with this machine, it only blows air into your nose or mouth to keep your airways from collapsing in on itself. I don't know if you have Athsma but you may want to check on that too, I hope you do all of this soon, It could save your life! Lemme know if you have any quetions.

I looked that up and I don't have any of the symptoms. I knew someone who had that and they would fall asleep during class all the time.
Star Gazer
Sleep apnea won't necessarily make you fall asleep during daylight hours. I have had many clients who have had it. They "sleep" for a good amount of time, but are always very, very, very tired. Many people do not even realize they have it until they undergo a sleep study.
Author VinaAmez
Hmm....I usually go to bed around 10:30-11:30 p.m. give or take. Then I normally get up around 7-9 a.m. I never wake up in the middle of the night unless someone wakes me.

I'd talk to your doctor about doing a sleep study, just to be sure.
JamesM
Well, if you are always tired and you get enough sleep, then I suggest that you go to the doctor for a checkup. There are many diseases that can have a symptom of fatigue. Leukemia, chronic fatigue disorder, mono, and more. See a doctor.
Author VinaAmez
Okay you guys. I don't have any diseases or disorders. I've pretty much narrowed it down to not taking any vitamins that much and not being as active as I used to be. I think a lot of it has to do with stress.
