Kamille
There's this one guy. He's 5 years younger then me, very goodlooking, he smells really good, he seems very sweet, very caring and he makes me laugh. Plus, I kind of get the feeling he's interested in me. One problem : I cannot for the life of me imagine a future with this guy. The main reason - well - gosh, you guys are going to burn me for this: I don't think we're a match on an intellectual level. He's more like the character Ashton Kushner plays on that 70s show (but less conceited) and I'm any character that has a dollop of intellectual angst. I love intellectual angst. I love agonizing about the state of the world and trying to think differently about everything. For his part, he likes to keep things simple. So, knowing this guy and I have no future - should I go for it and just have a fling with him? I don't think i've ever just had a fling. i don't know how it's done. I just get the feeling that I'll end up hurting him if I do decide to go for it.
tragicglands
Do it. But I secretly hope that you grow to love him. PS: What happened to your open mind? Never say never. And if you do say never, then never say never again.

And if you do say never, then never say never again. My open mind ran into my own advice about knowing what it is I'm looking for in a man. tragicglands, I've been following you... you so mysteriously have the same sense of humor as a magic pink elephant i know. tragicglands
My open mind ran into my own advice about knowing what it is I'm looking for in a man. Well, if you're that sure that he'll never be more than a fling. Look - I never have sex for "fun," but then I am weird. Lots and lots of people don't have a problem with it. Maybe if you feel so strongly about his lack of romantic potential, you should let him know you just want a fling. Maybe you're both on the same page? tragicglands, I've been following you... you so mysteriously have the same sense of humor as a magic pink elephant i know. You have a very vivid imagination. Where is that f*cker, anyway?! I've always thought Magic was lame, and unfunny. But I have to give credit where credit is due - the pink elephant tries. Sometimes too hard. If you're not, he will get hurt.
tragicglands
Go the Patriots! Hang on, that was yesterday. Or, last year. Not last year? Whatever. The point is, you have an opportunity to score. Touchdown celebrations don't last that long anyway.
