Twinky
I need some advise! Well I met this guy in a bar two weeks ago. We really hit it off and ended up kissing for a few hours at his place. Anyway we swapped numbers but unfortunately I lost his. I was pretty upset coz I wasn't sure if he'd call. Well a week went by and nothing, then he sent me a message on my phone asking how I was, at about 9:30pm on a Saturday night. I was at a party and didn't even look at my phone until 2am. So I sent a message back straight away, but he was probably asleep or who knows. But he never replied, not even the day after. Now it's been 5 days and counting. I don't know if he ever plans on contacting me again, or if he's just waiting for the weekend. The thing is, I am a very anal person when it comes to planning and I don't want to wait until 9:30 NEXT Saturday night before I hear from him, because by then I will have made arrangements already. And we all know the rule... if it's been too long both parties kind of can't be bothered and move on. But I've been "the chaser" before and it always ends badly. How do I go about this? How long do I wait before making a move?
clia
You returned his call at 2 in the morning??? Why didn't you wait until the next day? I personally don't think you should make any move. After all, you did return his call, although if someone I barely knew called me at 2 a.m. I certainly wouldn't be too impressed. The ball is in his court now. Don't call him, don't wait for him to call. Just make your plans for the weekend and go about your life, and if he ends up calling, great. If not, well, he barely exists now anyway. You only met him once.
butterflyz
you returned his call. now it's his turn. i agree with you, don't accept any last minute dates from someone you don't know. it's rude when a guy calls for a date at the last minute. there are more fish in the sea, go fishing.
