coco_milkshake Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I have had my period for over a week. It finished yesterday thank God and this is the worst its ever been. I know periods vary in different women but when I went to the bathroom the pee used to be slightly red due to urine being mixed with blood. It was very sensitive down there and I was cried almost everytime cos it stung when I went to pee. This has never happened to me during my other periods before. Even though my period has stopped I still feel a bit sensitive down there and I realised I went to pee more than usual. Has anyone else experienced this during their period??

Go see a doctor, and in the meantime don't drink any coffee or alchohol (it will make the pain worse), go out asap and get some cranberry juice, lots of it, and drink as much of it as you can stand. Also drink lots of water to dilute your urine and flush your system. Cranberry juice helps cure the infection and corrects the PH balance of your urine. A warm bath will make you feel better, too. Good luck, some pills from a doctor will cure it in no time.

Author coco_milkshake Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 I am going to see the doc tomorrow morning. My aunt who is a nurse is definite that it is a urine infection so Im going in tomorrow to confirm it and to get meds for it.
