Teraskas
Interesting similarities between the two of you haha. Good to see one of us is having some luck at the moment. When you feel ready, just ask her out for drinks when she's free and see how it goes from there. Not an expert either...too used to being let down lol.
Priv
Just ask her to get together next time. Her interest level is as high or higher than that of yours, her contacting you and talking till late. Also ask her if she has ever seen the movie ghost

By the way i haven't seen ghost, what do you mean by the reference? You culture barbarian. This is the scene from ghost I am talking about. Than don´t wait too long with asking to do something fun together. You/she will build up all kind of fantasies in your head about what meeting will be like that will bound to disappoint. Just ask her this evening ´hey was fun talking to you, let´s go lunch saturday and I´ll you some of my art IRL´

MidwestUSA
Be careful, Target. I started out casually 'noticing' someone who shared a lot of mutual friends with me. Now I call him 'husband' . Keep talking, and work your way to asking her out (sooner, not later, as someone said). Best of luck to you, you deserve happiness!

I'm rooting for you. Anyway: slow down! How have you decided you really like this girl? You haven't even met her yet. I know you've been having a rough go with dating, but don't build her up like that. Go in with an open mind and without feeling "attached" to the outcome. If she sses that you have already decided you'd like to date her, she'll get spooked. Be interested in her from the jump. Don't be interested in BEING WITH HER from the jump. See the difference?

See the difference? thanks i just try and be myself in all my dealings and try and not one of the many Douchebags, there are enough of them to be honest. Yes i think i know what you mean, i am interested in getting to know her better as she does seem to be a really nice interesting person who is really nice and fun to talk to and as a bonus is quite pretty but yeah i am a classic head over his heels classic romantic and need to keep control of that. going to hopefully talk to her tonight and work my way up to asking her and seeing what happens, just see how the conversation flows i guess.

MidwestUSA
Yay!! So, yes, not all women know how to graciously accept compliments. So she dismissed the pretty comment. I'll bet she blushes easily, let me know. As for what she needs to tell you? How serious can it be? She was born a male and is in the last stage of her gender reassignment surgery? Nah. I'm sure it's something trivial. Have fun and keep us posted!!

Yeah and thanks rather that than vain i guess, i get the impression she is a blusher. its probably medical stuff, nothing that wouldn't scare me anyway.
normal person
Just like I suggested last time, remember not to build up your expectations. People you meet online are rarely as you expect them to be in person. It could be better, it could be worse, but it likely won't be as you expect. So perhaps hold off on getting too excited until after you meet. I also think it'll save you from putting too much pressure on yourself. Just go and enjoy it. Have fun! I'll be curious to hear how it goes, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Keep up the good work and stay calm. Best thing you can do is to keep your expectations low, as it's one way to avoid disappointment. Trust me I do it all the time. xD
Trimmer
Be interested in her from the jump. Don't be interested in BEING WITH HER from the jump. See the difference? I totally agree with this. See if you're interested in the person, then see where it goes from there. My guess: she has a kid. My prediction, 59.9% chance divorced, 9.9% separated, 29.9% never married. (Oh, and 0.3% that I'm wrong, and it's something else... ) Seriously, I hope it's something less complex, like "I'm leaving for a 6 week arts residency in Paris in two weeks, and then I'll be back..." My advice - unless you're both 14, move this off Facebook, ASAP. Interact with a real human being. Just my preference. Edited July 3, 2014 by Trimmer

(Or is that covered under the 0.3%?) It was the first thing that came to mind! Do you think I'm jaded?

Author Targetlock
So just spent a few more lovely hours talking to this great lady and well as is suspected it is a few medical problems she has had to endure (bone problem, a few nasty operations) and it make me like her more because of how bright and cheery is despite that! nobody is perfect anyway, i'm certainly not! look forward to meeting her This is certainly a step up from my previous dating fiasco! First of all, I'm glad to hear this - it sounds like she's a real human being with a bright, shiny personality. No unassigned genitals or under-parented children, etc... how about the odds that this is too good to be true and is actually a vivid hallucination or something really really hope not to the other theories! will tell more when i find out! Even though we are now past speculation about the big mystery, I have to return to this post, which intrigued me. In my fantasy world, I thought it would be the coolest thing if it had been a hallucination, because that would mean that your own psyche would have been warning you about the fact that you were hallucinating, when it said "...there are a couple things you need to know about me..." The ultimate self-referential loop, don't you think? "Uh... so anyway, here's the deal.... I am actually you..."

Yeah like something out of fight club or something my imagination wouldn't be able to come up with someone this great anyway. she was worried her medical problems might scare her off like with past guys, but i told her they were missing out!
